The Acer G276HLA boasts an impressive 1000:1 contrasting ratio that is perfect for gamers or any form of media that users may wish to indulge in. The monitor also utilizes liquid-crystal technology that allows the screen to display a clear high-end output.
Coming in at under $200, the ACER G276HLA is a very affordable offering that most users will enjoy. The low-price tag does remove some key features of the monitor, such as a low refresh rate of 60HZ and lack of an HDMI port. But the lack of HDMI port can be solved using HDMI to DVI adapters and unless you are a serious gamer the low refresh rate should not bother you much either.
This review will cover some of the downsides as well as upsides of this inexpensive monitor from Acer.

Conclusion on this Acer Gaming Monitor
The design of this display is sleek and looks very nice. The slim bezels are a nice touch and do not take away from the viewing experience. The slim bezels also allow this monitor to be configured in a multi-display configuration that looks very nice. The image quality is also fantastic. Being a full HD monitor allows users to expect image qualities that they will not find in non-HD offerings. The resolution of this budget monitor is simply stunning. No matter if you want to watch sports, high-quality movies, or play games, the 1080p resolution will make it look fantastic.
The aspect ratio of 16:9 makes sure that users will be able to enjoy content without any image distortion. The 6ms response time ensures users will enjoy fast paced action with no ghosting effects when images are moving at a fast pace.
The dynamic contrast ratio is also a very nice touch that should be mentioned. The darkest blacks and the brightest whites come to life with a ratio of 100 million to 1. Users will be able to enjoy stunning details thanks to the dynamic contrast ratio paired with a 6ms response time.
The biggest disappointment of this display comes in the form of an extremely low refresh rate of 60HZ. Most gamers would prefer a refresh rate of at least 140HZ. But considering the low price of this monitor, 140HZ would be quite a lot to ask.
Another downside to this monitor is the lack of an HDMI port. This means that gamers will not be able to connect gaming consoles to the display without the aid of adaptors. The display does include a DVI-D port which does offer some different connectivity options for the user.
This monitor does not include built-in speakers. This is not a huge issue as most users like to use aftermarket standalone speakers, but having a couple of built in speakers would have been a nice addition to this display.
Other than those downsides, the Acer G276HL is a decent monitor that comes with a nice number of features considering its budget-friendly price tag. There could be a few more features included but that would drive the price of the monitor up. For its price, this monitor will not disappoint the average gamer or user. For the hardcore gamer who seeks top of the line display options this may not be the right fit, for everyone else, this a nice choice with a nice price that will not disappoint.
